Asbestos Report

The Asset Details > Asbestos tab > > View Asbestos shows you the Asbestos Report for selected location within the property.

The Asbestos Report dialog shows you the location and ID within the property of where the asbestos assessment was carried out.

The Asbestos Report contains four tabs:

Summary tab

The Summary tab shows the following information:

  • Status - the asbestos status for the location, for example whether there is asbestos or not.

  • Risk - the asbestos risk for the location, for example has the asbestos been disturbed.

  • Total Score - the Material Score + Priority Score.

  • Material Score - the score provided for the material assessment, which is based on the information seen in the Risk tab tab.

  • Priority Score - the score provided for the priority risk assessment, which is based on the information seen in the Risk tab tab.

  • Assessment Date - the date and time the asbestos assessment was carried out.

  • Review Date - the date and time the next assessment or review is to be carried out.

  • Assessed By - the name of the assessor who carried out the asbestos assessment.

  • Assessment Type - the type of assessment carried out, typically either a Refurbishment Survey or Management Survey.

  • Assessment Reference - the asbestos assessment reference number.

  • Survey Reference - the survey reference number.

  • Survey Row ID - the row identification number is where the record is within the survey.

  • Sample ID - the identification number for the asbestos sample taken while carrying out the assessment.

  • Notes - the notes taken by the assessor while carrying out the assessment.

  • Level - the level within, such as ground floor, which was assessed.

  • Room - the room within the property which was assessed.

  • Location - the location within the room which was assessed.

Status tab

The Status tab shows the following information:

  • Status - the asbestos status for the location, for example whether there is asbestos or not.

  • Action - the action taken for the location, for example the asbestos has been removed, or made safe.

  • Date Actioned - the date the action was carried out, e.g. the date the location was made safe.

  • Contractor - the contractor who carried out the action.

  • Contractor License - the contractors licence number.

  • Air Monitoring - whether air monitoring is being done or not, or this could show the level of asbestos in the air.

  • UKAS Accreditation - whether the contractor has a UKAS accreditation or not, or this could show the reference number for their UKAS accreditation.

  • Air Clearance Certificate - the air clearance certificate reference, showing air clearance has been given.

  • Assessment Cost (£) - the cost of the asbestos assessment.

  • Sample and Test Notes - the notes taken by the assessor regarding the sample taken.

Risk tab

The Risk tab shows the following information:

  • Material section:

    • Product Type - the type of the product the location is made of, e.g. the wall is made of Cement Products.

    • Asbestos Type - the type of asbestos found in the location.

    • Estimated Quantity - an estimate of asbestos found, if it was not possible to take an actual measurement.

    • Numeric Quantity - the numeric quantity of asbestos found, if it was possible to take an actual measurement.

    • Unit of Measure - the unit of measure used to when recording the estimated, or numerical quantity of asbestos.

    • Extent of Damage - the extent of damage to the asbestos, or location.

    • Surface Treatment - the treatment which is being applied to treat the asbestos.

    • Material Score - the combined score of the scores given to the Asbestos Type, Extent of Damage, and Surface Treatment.

    • Occupant Activity sub section:

      • Normal Activity - the type of activity carried out in the location, e.g. a hall used for regularly sports activities.

      • Secondary Activity - if applicable, any other type of low frequency activity carried out in the location, e.g. a hall rented out for occasional functions.

    • Likelihood of Disturbance sub section:

      • Disturbance Location - where the location is, e.g. is it secluded.

      • Accessibility Level - whether the asbestos is easily accessible.

      • Extent/Amount - how large or small the area of asbestos is.

    • Human Exposure Potential sub section:

      • Number of Occupants - the number of people living at the property.

      • Frequency of Use - how often the location accessed.

      • Average Time Used - how long the location is used for.

    • Maintenance Activity sub section:

      • Maintenance Type - the type of maintenance activities which could be carried out in the location.

      • Maintenance Frequency - how often are the maintenance activities carried out.

      • Priority Score - the combined score of the scores given to the Likelihood of Disturbance, Human Exposure Potential, and Maintenance Activity.

  • Priority section:

History

The History tab shows the previous asbestos assessments carried out for the location. The following information is shown:

  • Assessed Date - the date and time the asbestos assessment was carried out.

  • Status - the asbestos status for the location, for example whether there is asbestos or not.

  • Risk - the asbestos risk for the location, for example has the asbestos been disturbed.

  • Action - the action taken for the location, for example the asbestos has been removed, or made safe.

  • Assessed By - the name of the assessor who carried out the asbestos assessment.

  • Assessment Type - the type of assessment carried out, typically either a Refurbishment Survey or Management Survey.
