Constraint Override Reasons
The Mendel Settings of a World include specific Constraint Types e.g. Attribute Match. Constraint Types are absolute requirements and Mendel always creates a schedule which meets their requirements. For example, if you enable Attribute Match, then Mendel cannot schedule a Job to a Resource that does not have the required matching Attributes e.g. Area of South Belfast. However, you can manually override constraints when Committing Jobs in Optimise Schedule.
You can add Constraint Override Reasons per World in Optimise Admin that you later associate with Constraint Override actions you make in Optimise Schedule. For example, you know overriding an Area Attribute Match constraint will sometimes happen when a Resource does not have the appropriate Area Attribute e.g. South Belfast, but the Job must get scheduled and completed. You create a Constraint Override Reason of 'No Resources Available in Area'. When you override the constraint in Optimise schedule you can record the Constraint Override Reason with your override action, which is recorded in the Job Log. Refer to the Pin and Commit Jobs section of the Optimise Schedule user guide for more information.
