Create a Google Maps Platform Account

If you have an existing Google Maps Platform account you have the option of creating new Projects and/or generating additional API Keys within that account.

If you do not have an existing Google Maps Platform account, you will need to create one:

1. Visit https://cloud.google.com/maps-platform/ and select the Get Started button.

2. In the dialogue which appears, select Maps, Routes and Places, select Continue.

3. You will be asked to login to Google with an account. If you have an existing business account, enter the relevant credentials:

   1. If you do not have an existing business account, select Use another account.

   2. Select Create Account and follow the steps to create a Google account.

4. In the following dialogue, enter the name for your Project, select Next.

5. In the final dialogue, complete the steps to set up billing information for the Project. If you have a billing account already linked with your Google account this can be used automatically.

Your Google Maps Platform Account is now live.
