Lateness

Use End Time

Mendel calculates lateness based on one of two types of lateness categorisation:

  • Use End Time - Jobs which do not end before or on their Due Date and Time are considered late.

  • Do not Use End Time - Jobs are not late if they are scheduled to start on or before the Due Date and Time and end after the Due Date and Time. Jobs are late if they are scheduled to start after the Due Date and Time.

For example:

  • Use End Time is enabled and a Job with a Due Date and Time of 11:00 is scheduled to end at 11:00. Because the scheduled end time is equal and not later that 11:00, no lateness penalty applies.

  • Use End Time is enabled and Job with a Due Date and Time of 11:00 is scheduled to end at 11:30, a lateness penalties applies.

  • Use End Time is disabled and Job with a Due Date and Time of 12:00 is scheduled to start at 11:10 and end at 12:40. No lateness penalty applies.
