Integration Server

The Integration Service is the main logic engine within TotalMobile, with the knowledge to move the data where needed & when to trigger workloads. Although relatively lightweight in terms of processing, the Integration Service is core to TotalMobile’s operation and needs to be running with no impact from outside systems. The specification of an integration server is dependent on the number of users, the amount of integration & also the type of integration.

In deployments were there are large Integration pieces it may be necessary to have multiple Integration Servers, one to deal with external Integration & another to deal with the internal TotalMobile processes. However, this will create a more complex deployment & thought needs to be put into the Integration otherwise issues may occur.

In order to support an Integration Server for approx. 1,000 users, the following specification would be applicable for two Integration servers:

  • CPU: 2x vCPUs (+2.0Ghz)

  • RAM: 4 GB RAM

  • OS: Windows Server 2019/2022 Standard (inc latest Windows Patches)

  • Disks:

    • Windows Partition: 70GB (Raid 1 at underlying hardware level)

    • Data Partition: 20GB (Raid 1 at underlying hardware level)

Specifications are a guide only. TotalMobile Technical Services should be involved in the system design to ensure that the system is specified to cope with the expected load.

Integration Server Software Setup

Supported OS versions:

  • Windows 2019 Standard - Recommended

  • Windows 2022 Standard

The customer is expected to install the server to a Windows OS level (Including patches and service packs) and join the server to the LAN and Active Directory domain The System Default Locale must reflect the region the server sits in .Net 4.7.2 & 3.5.1 Frameworks must be installed on the server.

On-Premise Integration Server

In some cloud hosted deployments, it may be required to have a TotalMobile integration service running on a client site, to allow integration into a particular back-office application. This is supported in some scenarios, whereby a service is installed onto a server in the client’s site, which will allow messages to be sent up & down to the client’s site from the main TotalMobile instance. The integration on site will work via a set of adapters, but the statuses will be synced with the main TotalMobile instance. This allows for a single point of configuration & monitoring, yet gives the ability to connect into otherwise un-secured back-office systems.

Below is a recommended spec for the On-Premise server:

  • CPU: 1x vCPUs (+2.0Ghz)

  • RAM: 4 GB RAM

  • OS: Windows Server 2019/2022 Standard (inc latest Windows Patches)

  • Disks:

    • Windows Partition: 70GB (Raid 1 at underlying hardware level)

    • Data Partition: 20GB (Raid 1 at underlying hardware level)
