Lone Worker Protection - Android 2.04.01

Release Date: July 2024

We have been enhancing Lone Worker Protection Android since the last release, adding new features and addressing known issues to improve quality.

Some features may require additional setup by Totalmobile. If needed, reach out to your Account Manager for access details.

These Release Notes cover the following:

What's New

  • New Permission – Ignore Battery Optimisation

Due to recent changes in the Android operating system the app will now detect if the battery optimisation permission is required to be changed for the Safe Hub app. Upon starting the app after updating to version 2.04.01 the user will be presented with the permission screen. If the “ignore battery optimisation” button is blue the user will need to allow the app to always run in the background (see screenshots below). If the button is grey, it means the permission has already been set or is not required for the device. Please note that the app may present this option to the user in the future if the platform detects the requirement at a later date.

  • Android 15 Compatibility

Improvements to compatibility with Android 15.

  • Volume Warning – More Page

We can enable a new feature "Android App Volume Warning" via the user’s worker down profile.  If a person's device has a volume lower than this percentage or if that person's device is on silent, the More page within the Safe Hub app will display a warning.

  • More Page UI Changes

The colour of the sliders on the More page have been changed to improve the UI.
