What's New

  • PROT-390 - Periodically Delete Hierarchy Items

Automatic deletion of unused hierarchy items. An additional feature has been added that will periodically delete hierarchy items that are not assigned to any person. To enable this please contact support. To enable this, you must tick "Allow automatic deletion of unused Hierarchy Items" on the admin site settings page and tick the "Automatically Delete Unused Hierarchy Items" box on the hierarchy category page within the management portal. Unused items are located and deleted by a background process every 30 minutes.

  • PROT-348 - What3Words Lookup

A button has been added to the Person Summary Page that will convert the latest GPS Location for a person to its what3words value. To use this the person's management portal login must be granted the "Lookup what3words From GPS Location" permission. ARC Operators are automatically given this permission. Additionally, a new permission "Lookup Address From GPS Location" has been added that controls the latest GPS Location lookup facility.

  • PROT-675 - GPS Device Descriptions and Device Codes

The GPS device names have been reviewed and updated to clarify which devices they represent. On the GPS Devices page the Device Type drop-down list now lists all device descriptions followed by their manufacturer's device code. The device type code is not shown on the person summary page or any other reports. The People Usage Report and Proper Usage Calculation pages now include all GPS devices. The Activity Dashboard has been updated to include all GPS devices. Please note that "SOS Fob" usage values on the dashboard includes all usage from all 2G and 4G fob devices.

Description

PROT-399

HTML character entities passed in calls to the data take-on API are now automatically decoded to their actual character values, e.g. & will be decoded to &. Additionally, any non-printable characters such as tab are automatically removed from take-on requests. Under normal usage this will not result in any change to the operation of the API.

PROT-423

Outstanding Alert Notification not sending at correct time. An issue was found within the time calculation for the sending of outstanding alert notifications. The problem has been corrected, and e-mails and SMS messages are now sent at the correct times.

PROT-424

Red Alerts not showing in Person Daily Usage. A change has been applied to the person daily usage calculation so that any red alert call will immediately count towards the number of red alert calls made by a person on a day.

PROT-398*

Site Anonymisation retry facility. Any site anonymisation that has failed can now be retried by entering its queue id into the new text box on the "Site Data Anonymisation" page in sysadmin. Please contact a developer before using this facility to allow them to investigate why the anonymisation failed.

PROT-416*

Design Rule Checks. All red alert and yellow alert calls now record additional auditing information. These audits are used to validate that all steps from the receipt of a telephone call to the alert manager message being processed occur in a timely fashion. Calls that exceed processing time limits or that are missing steps will be reported as errors to the system error listener.

PROT-421*

SQL Timeout Investigation. We asked our DBAs to do a health check of our database and the entire Protect system. This resulted in a few suggested changes which has improved operation of the system.

PROT-418*

Person list download columns that are controlled by permission. The person list download no longer fails when a site is configured to use "Excel with Report Templates" and the person performing the download does not have the "View and Edit personal information for people" permission.

PROT-668*

Unrecognised GPS device logging. When data is received from a GPS device that is incorrectly configured, a log will be recorded and made visible in the "Unrecognised GPS Devices" page in sysadmin. The log can then be investigated to determine why the GPS device was not recognised, e.g. the device may not be assigned to a person, or the device has been assigned to an inactive person.
