Asset Management - Release 9.37 & 9.38

We have been enhancing Asset Management since the last release, adding new features and addressing known issues to improve quality.

What’s New

  • Forecasting

    Introduction of new Forecasting functionality, available from the Navigation menu > OVERVIEW > Forecasting, provides the following:

    • Tools to forecast costs related to investments. This addition enhances the platform's capability for financial planning and investment analysis.

    • Categories to enable users to maintain standard replacement costs, link property templates, and set default code-templates. This facilitates forecast generation and detailed job cost determination.

    • Produce Forecast empowers users to generate forecasts and determine their default 30-year plans. This provides valuable long-term insights for strategic asset management.

    • Forecast Table to allow users to view and audit how their forecasts have been produced, enabling them to easily identify and determine any necessary follow-up actions.

  • Cost Multiplier

    A new Cost Multiplier feature has been added to Navigation menu > CONFIGURATION > System Data > Asset Category Data > Asset Subcategories. The Asset Subcategories configuration now contains a Unit Cost field, which supports the standard approach for generating indicative asset replacement costs. This allows for consistent cost calculations based on measures and unit costs.

  • Asset Details Enhancement

    Enhancements have been made to the Asset Details in Portfolio > Asset Register tab > Asset > Asset Info > View Asset > Details tab, meaningful Asset Type information is available when an asset is a Property. This improves asset classification and management for property-related assets.

  • Property Types

    A new Property Types feature has been added to Navigation menu > CONFIGURATION > System Data, for users to manage property assets and generate forecasts for each. This allows for more efficient property management and accurate financial planning.

  • Property Templates

    A new Property Templates features has been added to Navigation menu > CONFIGURATION > Templates, allowing users to maintain standardised property templates. This helps streamline the process of generating forecasts for various property assets.
