Mobile Working (Mobilise) - Release 9.38

Release Date: January 2026

We have been enhancing Mobile Working since the last release, adding new features and addressing known issues to improve quality.

Some features may require additional setup by Totalmobile. If needed, reach out to your Account Manager for access details.

These Release Notes cover the following:

What's New

  • Multi Time Zone Support

Multi Time Zone Support for Mobilise users operating in multiple time zones has been updated to ensure server-generated messages align with the server’s configured culture and time zone. This ensures timestamps align with the environment settings preventing discrepancies between client and server message timestamps. As a result, client and server message times display consistently and accurately within the context of the server’s locale.

Multi Time Zone Support for Mobilise users operating in multiple time zones has been updated for visit integration between Referral Management (Carelink) and the Care Providers portal. We have added an optional time zone context to the integration logic for how visits are created, updated, and recalled between Referral Management (Carelink) and the Care Providers portal. The integration is now time zone ready, ensuring that when both systems adopt full multi-time zone support, visit synchronisation will respect local time zones for due dates and scheduling.

  • Email Integration Provider: Modern Auth Support via SMTP & Microsoft Graph (OAuth ClientId/ClientSecret)

Email Integration Provider setting added to Web Admin > Integration > Adapters >

    • Standard Adapters > Email Adapter, Send Email Request Adapter, Transform Email Adapter

    • Form Adapters > Form Result Reporting Service Email Adapter

The value of this setting should be the mail service used to send the emails, either SMPT or Microsoft Graph.

    • SMPT: Use SendGrid (or any other SMPT provider that still supports basic auth) with username / password, or API Key

    • Microsoft Graph: Use Graph's SendMail endpoint to send on behalf of a mailbox or via application permissions (daemon/service accounts).

The default is SMPT for backward compatibility. Some of the relevant settings for each provider are marked as conditional as it depends on the provider type chosen.

We’ve upgraded our outbound email integration to support two secure, modern options:

    • SMTP AUTH with username/password or API Key - connect to an SMTP provider that still supports basic auth or API key authentication.

    • Microsoft Graph Send mail - send emails through Microsoft Graph API using app or delegated permissions.

This replaces configurations that relied on Basic authentication for Client Submission (SMTP AUTH), which Microsoft is retiring in Exchange Online. Microsoft’s updated timeline begins phasing out Basic auth on March 1, 2026 and reaches 100% rejection by April 30, 2026; tenants must move to OAuth or alternatives.

This update makes sending emails more secure and future-proof by replacing outdated password-based methods with modern authentication. It helps protect your data, supports compliance, and ensures uninterrupted email delivery even after Microsoft retires Basic authentication. Plus, you can choose the option - SMTP or Microsoft Graph - that best fits your apps and workflows.

  • Smart Lookup Element

The Smart Lookup feature enhances the mobile working experience by providing quick access to context-specific information. When mobile users fill out relevant answers in a form, Mobile Working (Mobilise) takes the entered data and sends it to a trusted external service, along with a request for a specific type of response. The service then returns tailored information that Mobile Working (Mobilise) can use to auto-populate relevant parts of the form. This not only helps mobile users complete tasks more accurately and efficiently, but also allows for integrations to trigger follow-up actions based on returned data on form/visit completion.

This feature relies on two connected systems to work correctly. Please ensure these are configured before use.
