Numeric Control

The Numeric control allows you to enter a numeric value into a form field on the device.

Configure the Numeric Control

  1. In WebAdmin, select Forms.

  2. Select an existing form, or select Add New Form to create a new one.

  3. Navigate to an existing element within your form or select Insert a new Element.

  4. Select Maintain Element Settings .

  5. In the Update Element Details dialog:

    1. Select the Numeric control.

    2. Select the Text field, and enter a description for the new control.

    3. Select the Minimum field, and enter the minimum value the user can input.

    4. Select the Maximum field, and enter the maximum value the user can input.

    5. Select the Decimal Places field, and enter the number of decimal places that the user can include in the value. The default is 2.

    6. Select Default Value field, and enter a value that will automatically populate the field unless amended.

    7. To enable barcode and QR code scanning in the control, toggle Barcode to to On. For more details refer to Scan Barcode into Numeric Control

    8. Configure other control options as required. For more details refer to Form Sections and Controls.

    9. Select Save.

  6. Save and Publish the form.

  7. Ensure the form is assigned to an application or visit task within a solution.

How the Numeric Control Works

  1. On the device, navigate to the form.

  2. Select the Numeric control within the form.

  3. In the Enter Value screen:

    1. Enter a numeric value that falls between the minimum and maximum set within the control. If you do not keep to these limitations, you cannot submit the form.

    2. Select OK.

  4. Submit the form.
