Unpaid Refreshment Breaks Settings for Flexi Time Workers

A new Unpaid Refreshment Breaks option has been added to the Contract Types screen. The radio buttons for the Unpaid Refreshment Breaks option have moved to this new section. Two new options have also been added to this section called Break between clockings calculation and Minimum clocked hours before refreshment break deducted. Both options will be enabled when Unpaid Refreshment Breaks is set to Yes.

  • Break between clockings calculation - choose from either of the following:

    • Longest break between islands - if the longest gap between clocked islands on the Time Sheet is less than the contracted ref break, the full ref break will be deducted from the Actual Hours column. If the longest gap is equal to or greater than the contracted ref break, no ref break will be deducted. The contracted ref break is calculated by the length of the persons Planned Shift for the day.

    • Sum of breaks between islands(this is the default) - if the sum of all gaps between clocked islands on the Time Sheet is less than the contracted ref break, the remainder of the ref break will be deducted from the Actual Hours column. If the sum of all gaps is equal to or greater than the contracted ref break, no ref break will be deducted. The contracted ref break is calculated by the length of the persons Planned Shift for the day.

  • Minimum clocked hours before refreshment break deducted - this determines the number hours a person must clock before they are entitled to their contracted ref break. If the clocked hours are less than the min hours requirement, no ref break be deducted from the Actual Hours column, regardless if their contract allows for a ref break. If the clocked hours are equal to or greater than the min hours requirement, the contracted ref break will be deducted from the Actual Hours column.

When the system options for Display Clockings in Individual Duties are set to Yes, the new options also affect the display of Clocked Hours in the main client Individual Duties report.
