Map View

Switch to the Map view in Optimise Schedule to view the start location of resources, the location of jobs, the planned routes between jobs and more.

The Map view toolbar enables you to configure the information displayed on the map. The following options are available:

Toggle to show or hide resources.

Toggle to show or hide the last known location of resources for the current day. Dynamic Scheduling captures the last known location of resources via workflow tracking. You must toggle resources and jobs to On to view the last known location.

Toggle to show or hide all jobs.

Toggle to show or hide all jobs for the current displayed date.

Toggle to show or hide the ranges for resources. When this option is set, hover your cursor over a resource to view the range in which they can be scheduled jobs.

If a resource does not have a specific range defined, you can select the arrow to the right of the Show Range icon then use the slider to increase or decrease the range shown on the map. This is useful if you want to change a resource's range and work out what is required.

Select to alter the map's bounds, so it displays the best view for all items that are currently shown on the map.

Toggle to show or hide current traffic.

When you show traffic in Google Maps, the roads on the map change colour to reflect their current state. Red represents very heavy traffic, orange represents some traffic, and green represents minimal traffic.

When you show traffic in Azure Maps, the map displays clickable icons for slow, queuing and stationary traffic, as well as road closures.

Toggle to show or hide jobs with appointments. Select the arrow to the right of the icon and then select slot times to filter the jobs on the map.

Toggle to lock or unlock the ability to commit or schedule jobs to resources on the map, and to update a resource's default or alternative start location. This icon is only displayed if one or more of these options is enabled in the World's settings. For more details refer to Optimise Schedule Settings in the Administrator Guide.

The Map view functionality in Optimise Schedule reflects the standard controls of the mapping provider you have selected.
