Standardised Clocking Refreshment Break Calculations
Define Contract Types - New Contract Types
New option has been added on the Personnel Definitions > Contract Types - Add/Edit screen for Calculation for ref breaks based on (under Unpaid Refreshment Breaks). This option provides the choice of Planned or Actual Shift for the break between clockings calculation to use. The default when adding a new contract type is always Planned Shift.
There is a new post deployment script to provide the necessary defaults to existing contracts on upgrade. For one specific customer, the new option will be set to Actual Shifts, for everyone else this will be set to Planned Shifts.
New Tables Function for Clocked Hours
Implementation of the Personnel Definitions > Contract Types - Add/Edit screen option Calculation for ref breaks based on (under Unpaid Refreshment Breaks). Calculations for the break on clocked data now uses the Planned or Actual Shift setting to identify which break to use and several old procedures have been consolidated.
-
Planned - uses the length of the planned shift to find the required refreshment break.
-
Actual - uses the actual clocked duration to find the required refreshment break.
Affected areas include Time Sheet Records (main client and web) and anywhere else clockings are used in calculations e.g. Flexi Balance Report, Recuperative Duties, Book on/off. Individual Duties (when set to use clockings) has not been switched to the new procedure.
