Pin Jobs
When you pin jobs in Optimise Schedule, you are setting a preference for Mendel to schedule those jobs at particular times or to specific resources.
For example, a colleague advises you that a tenant contacted your department and if possible, prefers a particular date and resource for a job. You pin the job to the date and resource. With the pin in place and the appropriate Mendel settings configuration, Mendel is more likely to schedule the job to the resource and time that you have defined as a preference.
You can pin jobs to a:

Date and resource

Date and a resource's availability slot

Date and morning or afternoon
You can also remove pins if necessary.
Pinning jobs does not mean Mendel will definitely meet your scheduling preferences. Also consider whether jobs have required skills, attributes, geographic locations or other reasons why Mendel might not meet your preferences before pinning.
