Resources

Resources are staff or users who you can schedule jobs to in Optimise Schedule. Once a user activates in Totalmobile, Dynamic Scheduling creates the user as a resource.

You or Mendel can only schedule a job to a resource if they have the required skills. For example, if a resource has the Gas Engineer skill and there is a job which requires both Gas Engineer and Joiner skills, then unless you manually commit the job, it will only be scheduled to a resource with both skills.

You can set up the Kanban dispatch limit to restrict how many visits a resource can manage on their device at one time. The resource start location assists with calculating resource schedules and routes, and is often referred to as the home/start/end location rather than the current location. You can edit or add a resource's location by entering the street address or by navigating to a location on the map and clicking on it.

You can also add the travel mode and range for resources, which Mendel uses when it calculates the jobs it schedules and the routes it applies. Furthermore, you can assign rosters in multiple Worlds to your resources in Optimise Admin.
